Event description

Description

This hour-long orientation provides prospective volunteers with information about the shelter, its programs and services, and give an overview of the available types of volunteer programs.

Our current volunteer corp is comprised of over 1,200 animal lovers of all ages, backgrounds, and interests. Our volunteers play an integral role in the shelter's mission statement to "provide compassion and care for all animals."

With 40 unique programs, volunteers have many opportunities to help out, whether it is direct animal interaction, meeting and speaking with members of the public about the shelter, assisting Health Staff, and even in our Wildlife Department.

Animal interaction opportunities are available for volunteers ages 15 and older.
