New Perspectives on Historic Collections:
Research projects by the 2016-17 Temple-Wagner Humanities & Arts Fellows
Thursday, September 28th, 2017
Presentations at 6 PM followed by a reception in the museum.
In 2016, we launched the Temple-Wagner Humanities & Arts Research Alliance in partnership with Temple University. This award encourages arts and humanities scholars at Temple to conduct research in our historic collections. So far, the program has inspired 8 exciting research projects that frame our collections in creative ways and reveal new information about our history. This event will showcase these projects; join us to:
- Hear excerpts from a poem inspired by research in the Wagner’s archives;
- See samples of jewelry based on scientific drawings;
- Learn about the microscopic photographs of the Langenheim Brothers;
- And more!
Fellow presentations begin at 6 in the lecture hall. Then, join us for a reception in the museum where work created during the Fellowship will be on display.
