Description

New Panther: A Call for Action is a docuseries about a collective of people focused on creating a thriving Afrikan community rooted in self determination and collective Action. The series will highlight organizations and movements that you can choose to get involved with to affect and cultivate change in your community.

Background Information

Sage Love is writer, director, and producer who has produced and directed 13 films/documentaries over the last three years. Many of his award-winning short films are stylistically raw and uncut and have been screened at multiple film festivals. Joseph’s films challenges the social norms of urban communities; one in particular, a short film he produced titled “HOODY: The Trayvon Martin Experience” was screened at 13 film festivals including an international screening in Finland where the film won both the Audience and People's Choice awards. Nola Asantewaa is an honorably retired veteran and local business owner. After serving in the military, she saw a need for business development in the Pan African community, so she founded the NOLA D COLLECTIVE LLC which provides business development resources and promotional services for local black business owners to ensure they thrive and remain fixtures in the community.

Itinerary for the night:

5:30pm - 6:30pm Mingling & Hors d'oeuvers.

6:30pm - 7:30pm screening, raffles, Q&A with the producers of the series.

Tickets are $10 which includes raffled prizes donated by businesses within NOLA D COLLECTIVE.
