Event description

Description

Join us at the Urban Farmstead to discuss the permacultural principals of guilding and zones, or in layman's terms, what plants to plant with what other plants and where best to plant them. But it's about so much more than that! We will also discuss best practices for harvesting food, collecting seed, and storing food and seed.

Gene Griffith of the Southern Oregon Permaculture Institute will be spearheading this hands-on workshop experience with assistants from the boys of Southbound Gardens.

This is part two of a four part Permaculture series that will take place over the weekend. If you'd like to attend the entire series please buy tickets for that instead of this. You'll save a lot of money!

We will not be providing refreshments for this event, please bring your own drinks and snacks, and if possible, no trash! Also bring gloves if you are the sort who likes to wear gloves while playing in the dirt, and rain gear just in case. Don't forget to bring a notebook and a pen!
