Please join us for the free New Opportunities in Clean Transportation: Electric Vehicles Workshop for Leaders, in conjunction with the 2010 Plug-In Conference.

Taking place on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 from 3-5pm, this workshop will provide an update on the new vehicles, their benefits, local experience and plans, as well as funding opportunities.  This workshop is for fleet managers, transportation directors, CSR/sustainability officers, and other decision-makers managing transportation issues in your organization.

In-person attendees will receive Free Passes to the Plug-In Conference Public Night following the workshop!

Partners: Bay Area Climate Collaborative (BACC), Bank of America, Lockheed Martin, Air Quality Management District, Bay Area Council, Business Council on Climate Change, East Bay Clean Cities Coalition, San Francisco Clean Cities Coalition, Silicon Valley Clean Cities Coalition, Breathe California, Plug-in Bay Area, Joint Venture: Silicon Valley Network and the Silicon Valley Leadership Group.

Why? Electric vehicles will have a major introduction beginning this year and ramping up over the next several years.  Businesses and governments can deliver benefits to their employees and constituents by deploying and supporting electric vehicles including reduced costs, improved health, reduced vulnerability to gas price volatility and increases, and reduced emissions. Electric vehicles furthermore reduce America’s dangerous dependence on foreign fuels, improving national security.  New vehicles with superior performance, extended range, and attractive financing and rebates are making electric vehicles a realistic choice.

Speakers & Topics:

Speakers include David Head, Fleet Manager for the County of Sonoma Fleet Operations Division, Damian Breen, Strategic Incentives Director for the Bay Area Air Quality Management District and Jennifer Paedon, Lockheed Martin Commute Program & Facilities Manager. Topics include:

-          Electric vehicle landscape

-          Bay Area infrastructure plans

-          Benefits of electric vehicles

-          Specific opportunities with fleets, charge stations and incentives

-          Funding and financing opportunities

-          And more

Attendees are welcome to join in person or virtually via webinar

And immediately following the workshop attendees can use their free passes to meet vendors and other exhibitors at the Plug-in Conference “Public Night”, an exciting showcase of the most leading-edge electric vehicle technologies and experts (including Bill Nye the Science Guy!).

On-site space for this free workshop is limited, so please REGISTER soon!
