This course with private practitioners specifically treating sleep disordered breathing will provide practice management pearls.

About this Event

Sleep Medicine- Practice Management and Pulling it all together for effective treatment in your Office

Course Summary: Dr. Hui and McDavid limit their practice to the treatment of sleep breathing disorders and will provide excellent private practice information to assist you will the everyday delivery of care to your patients. Effective and efficient ways of managing patients and review of handling medical and dental insurance will be included in these lectures.

Sleep disorders are vastly under- or undiagnosed in the general population. Research suggests that the effects of sleep deprivation are significant and cost millions of dollars annually.

This New and contemporary Sleep Continuum will take you to the next level in terms of diagnosis and patient treatment and will enhance your knowledge and expand your practice opportunities for treatment and to interact with other health professionals to make patient outcomes improved.

Dentists are in an ideal position to partner with other health care providers to effectively screen and treat sleep-related breathing disorders. Most patients see their dentist on a more regular basis than their physician. Due to the marked increase in sleep-related breathing disorders, it is imperative that dentists become familiar and comfortable with recognizing and treating these patients.

The continuum is designed to provide a comprehensive working knowledge of sleep and sleep-related breathing disorders. Treatment options for these disorders will also be covered.

Patient care will be emphasized, and live patient interaction will be available.  This course is a lecture, laboratory, and live patient care continuum, so the teaching methods will include lecture, hands-on training, patient treatment, and is targeted to the general dentist, specialists, and auxilliaries intersted in the treating this patient population which has mostly been undiagnosed.
