Erich Barganier is a composer and multi-instrumentalist from St. Petersburg, Florida. After receiving his B.A. from New College of Florida, Erich was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and taught English at the State University of Culture and Arts in Minsk, Belarus. During this time, he began collecting regional folk songs for an ethnomusicological project while continuing to collaborate with musicians worldwide. His compositions explore microtonality, non-western scale structure, generative processes and algorithmic phrasing andhave been performed live or in installations in New York City, London, Minsk, Sydney, Sarasota, Tuscaloosa and Jacksonville. His latest electronic works can be found on Nebularosa records.
In recent years, experimental electronic music has begun to blend with classical composition. This amalgamation of styles has resulted in some of the most stunning and challenging music produced. Circuit Bridges will showcase the electroacoustic works of Erich Barganier featuring several world premieres for acoustic instruments manipulated by and blended with electronics.
