Description

The Tucson Amateur Astronomers Association will bring two telescopes to gaze toward the heavens on this new moon evening. Tickets are FREE but REQUIRED. This event is limited to 60 guests so don't wait! Our last astronomy event sold out!

Sanctuary Cove invites you for a rare opportunity to visit after dark!
Instead of locking the gates at dusk, Sanctaury Cove will remain open and invite the public for a very special evening to look skyward on a new moon evening.

  • 7:00 p.m. Upper parking lot will open for event guests
  • 7:30 telescopes will be set up and ready
  • 9:30 event ends
  • 10:00 p.m. Gates will be closed and locked, all guests must be off property

IMPORTANT!

  • Tickets are FREE and limited to 60 guests ONLY. You MUST have a ticket to be admitted NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • This is a kid-friendly event; however, children must be quiet and calm, no running or shouting of any kind will be allowed. If your children are violating this expectation, you will be asked to leave.
  • You must bring your own headlamp or flashlight. It is very dark, and trails are NOT illuminated.
  • We will require you to sign a liability release upon entry- you will acknowledge that you attend at your own risk.
  • Risks include falling in dirt, gravel, and rocks, and the presence of dangerous animals and plants.
  • SNAKES ARE PRESENT ON PROPERTY AND ARE OUT AT NIGHT SO YOU MUST BE AWARE. NO TRAIL WALKING OR LABYRINTH VISIT ON NEW MOON NIGHT. CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES.
