Plan to join the University of Phoenix New Mexico Campus on Saturday, 18June from 9:00-12:00 for our final “New Mexico and the Global Economy” workshop. Two topics will be presented: “Networking in a global economy” and “Building your brand in a global economy”.
The presenters will be Phillip Spivey and Holly Hitzmann, both instructors at the NM Campus in the School of Business. Phil is owner of the Multilingual Marketing Group a consulting firm providing guidance to individuals and organizations on effectively communicating with diverse cultures, including translation services, interpreter services, commercial production in multiple languages, multilingual and cross-cultural public relations efforts with diversity training. The consultancy provides extensive market research on countries in Asia, Europe and Latin America, including market viability research and cultural understanding. He also works as Sales Training and Development Manager for KOB-TV here in Albuquerque, providing training and development of all account executives for KOB-TV and KOB.com, including effective communication skills development and training related to modes of communication, and the skills to contrast and compare cross-platform media strategies with an emphasis on marketing communications. Holly is the Executive Director of the “For My Earth Project”, a non-profit New Mexico corporation, which creates and markets a unique e-book creation business model to non-profits and digital media departments, assisting in the creation of all external communication and website development, providing guidance to interns on e-book creation, and project management of each e-book.
The workshop is designed to allow participants to develop an understanding of the competencies and skills required in today’s global economy by identifying resources and assisting participants in mastering the competencies of a 21st Century business leader who must learn to work and compete in a global marketplace.
