New Local Church Profile Webinar Training
Sat, March 25, 2017, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM EDT
If you haven’t heard, the UCC has created a NEW Local Church Profile.
In the past, every church has created a Local Church Profile (LCP), after their pastor had resigned/retired, in order to seek a settled pastor. That is still true. However, the NEW LCP is now for ALL churches! This NEW Local Church Profile reflects valuable data, assesses ministry, clarifies change, and helps advance the calling of the congregation.
Why should you get to know the New Local Church Profile?
We know that the average length of a pastorate is now 5 to 7 years. We also know that the average length of time from the resignation/retirement of a pastor to the beginning of a new settled pastor is at least 2 years. Engaging in this document now will cut the search process in half!
This is a great tool to use to assess a congregation’s ministry. With the aid of your pastor, the congregation can now participate in discerning “who we are”, “who is our neighbor” and “who is God calling us to become”?
