New Jersey Boy, Steve Kunzman, Performs at WAC!
Friday, April 12, 2013 from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM (EDT)
Featured Performer New Jersey Boy Steve Kunzman
Steve Kunzman, a New Jersey boy, is always searching for truth. His 2003 debut CD Find the Moon came after years spent making music and several tenures as a student in a songwriting workshop led by Roseanne Cash. Now in his new CD, Back Home, Steve explores his truth through the essence of home as restorative power, as light in the distance and light in the heart, through his multifarious music. With guidance from two-time Grammy-winning producer Ben Wisch, Steve presents deep, soul-stirring Americana with moods ranging from rollicking to whisper-soft and twang to mist-dripping melodies.
Steve’s acoustic guitar and burnished vocal based tunes, offer a variety of styles and groove. Songs include a variety of styles from Afro-Cuban, the ‘Shadowy’ and Classic & Evolving Country. Thanks to a well-worn guitar, songs, and family, Steve’s live shows are like a porch light shining in the darkness. He also plays mandolin and dobro in the New Jersey roots rock band; Rodeo Gypsies.
"Steve brings a level of sensitivity, skill and instinct that is totally original and beautifully honest. I was, and remain, a fan of Steve's writing, playing and singing." ~ Roseanne Cash
