Woolsey Hall, New Haven
The Chorale welcomes distinguished guest conductor Edward Cumming, the Hartt Symphony Orchestra, and the Hartt School choruses for a spectacular performance celebrating three great modern masters, Bernstein, Debussy, and Poulenc in the reverberant acoustics of majestic Woolsey Hall. Maestro Cumming will conduct Leonard Bernstein’s boisterous Chichester Psalms and Claude Debussy’s exquisite La damoiselle élue. Chorale Music Director Edward Bolkovac will direct Francis Poulenc’s stunning, exuberant Gloria, with renowned soprano Rochelle Bard, along with a few short 20th-century surprises.
Bold! Moving! Inspiring! Be there!
