The New Hampshire Police Association Pipes & Drums was formed following the tragic death of New Hampshire State Police Sgt. James Noyes. Sgt. Noyes was shot and killed in October 1994, during a stand off with an armed barricaded subject. After the Boston Police Gaelic Column played at the funeral, a search was initiated for potential players to start a New Hampshire Police Pipe Band. In December 1994, several dedicated individuals from various police departments across the state got together for their first practice at Memorial High School in Manchester.

After 2 years of dedicated practice, the band made its official debut in 1996, playing at the New Hampshire Police Memorial in Concord. Since 1996, the band has continued to grow and now has over 30 playing members from over a dozen law enforcement agencies within the State of NH.

The band performs at dozens of events annually throughout the state and across New England. The NHPA Pipes & Drums is proud to be a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization.

This years headlining band will be Erin's Guild :

Founded in 2010, Erin's Guild can be found performing throughout New England and has traveled internationally, with performances in Ireland and Amsterdam. The 'Guild includes: Sean Fell on vocals, guitar, harmonica and bodhran; Patrick Bowling on bodhran, vocals, whistle and Irish flute; Scott Sutherland on the bass, mandolin, banjo and guitar.

The three, drawing on and combining their past musical experiences, create and bring a unique, energetic, audience engaging sound and show to their performances. The trio love and enjoy sharing their passion for their culture and their music, both traditionally and contemporary, to help pass it along to future generations.
