We train advocates free of charge so that they can effectively reach out to their elected officials to share the impact that substance use has on New Hampshire families, public health, and our state’s economy. Our expectation is that advocates take action on policy positions they agree with and keep in touch.

Things to know for December 6th!

  • Bring your walking shoes! Part of the training includes a short walk over to the State House and a State House tour.

  • Parking is free and the building is ADA accessible.

  • The conference room is on the third floor.

  • A light continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.

  • If you have a food sensitivity we have a refrigerator if you would prefer to bring your own lunch.

  • We will also have coffee and tea available for that afternoon slump!

Every single New Hampshire resident has been impacted by our state’s drug and alcohol epidemic. There have been almost 1,000 drug-related deaths in New Hampshire since 2013 and a local economist estimated that this crisis costs our economy at least $1.84 billion each year. These difficult times have sent us some of the bravest and most inspiring volunteers we could ever hope to represent. Our advocates share journeys of hardship and recovery that carry a message of optimism for the future in our state. The voice for reducing drug and alcohol problems in our state has never been stronger.
