We’re looking forward to our 4th Annual SIX & A MIX “ taking place at Suncoast Technical College and hope you will join us : Starting at 3:00 PM with six separate workshops followed by a 5:30 PM networking hors d’oeuvres reception/mixer, and topped off with a 6:30 PM VIP Panel in the conference center featuring these terrific speakers:

An independent film producer & director of production & development for an Academy-Award-winning NYC production company:

JENNY HALPER – Producer, director of production & development / development executive for MAVEN PICTURES (NYC), with two indie films in development as the executive producer for Maven Pictures currently, and many credits already with that company including, among other notable films, the award-winning The Kids Are All Right.  Jenny is the winner of 2011’s Emerging Writer award, recipient of an artist’s grant from the Vermont Studio Center, a journalist who has written for the Boston Phoenix, Nylon Magazine and Women on Film, among others.  She is a 2009 graduate of Emerson College’s Masters program where she received an Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences grant (AMPAS – Academy Award/Oscars organization).

  

A top development executive from several Scripps cable networks:

BRIAN BALTHAZAR - Vice President of programming and development for SCRIPPS Networks Interactive brands of HGTV, DIY Network, Great American Country.  In that role, he creates, develops and oversees new specials, pilots and series for the three networks.  As director of programming at HGTV from 2008 -2013, Balthazar oversaw countless hours of television programming.  In 2014, Balthazar was co-executive producer of ABC’s popular daytime talk show The View, and prior to that was Vice President of programming and executive producer of digital content production for AOL.com where he helped launch the portal’s 24/7 video strategy.  Balthazar was also responsible for launching the 4th hour of NBC’s TODAY Show with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb. Balthazar remains closely tied to entertainment and popular culture, appearing regularly as a guest on The Wendy Williams Show and TODAY with Kathie Lee and Hoda, as well as interviewing celebrities and newsmakers for AOL BUILD and IMDb.

  

A Literary film/ TV rights agent  with expertise in the area of both film and television working exclusively with The Gersh Agency:

Her clients include best-selling and prize-winning novelists, academics, political figures, social advocates, historians, and publishing houses. For over seven decades, Gersh has remained one of the most recognizable names in the entertainment industry. Alice received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Kenyon College and lives in Brooklyn, New York.
