Description

It's no secret that the shellfish that grows in New England waters is among the best in the world. Battered, fried bivalves fresh from a clam shack have their place, but we also love bringing the bounty of the sea into our own kitchens. It can be daunting - from knowing how to buy shellfish, to shucking, to preparing - not to mention wine pairings. Luckily, Lindsay from Island Creek Oysters is here to guide us through these occasionally murky waters. Chef Katie, our catering manager, and Megan, winebuyer, will be joining LIndsay for an evening of shellfish and beverage pairings. They'll cover simple, elegant raw oyster preparations, classic "stuffies", and much more. Enjoy both classic and modern ways to serve shellfish and learn how to bring them to your own kitchen.
