A live webinar presented by the NYS Board of Elections Compliance Unit focusing on training filers to use the new web-based EFS software.

About this Event

The New York State Board of Elections is pleased to announce it will be transitioning all filers from its current Electronic Filing System (EFS) desktop application software to a new web-based system on Monday, January 25, 2021.

Please note, this is after the 2021 January Periodic report is due on January 15, 2021. (All filers will use the current desktop EFS V.5.1 for the timely submission of the 2021 January Periodic report.)

While the current EFS desktop application is only accessible on the device on which it was originally installed, the new web-based EFS system will be accessible from any desktop, laptop, or tablet device connected to the internet. The new system has been developed by the Board and tested both internally and by filers. It will feature a user-friendly dashboard interface where filers will be able to create, submit, and view disclosure reports.

The following live training webinars have been scheduled to introduce filers to the new web-based EFS software:

  • Wednesday, January 27, 2021 - 10:00am - 12:00pm
  • Monday, February 8, 2021 - 1:30pm - 3:30pm
  • Thursday, February 25, 2021 - 10:30am - 12:30pm
  • Tuesday, March 9, 2021 - 1:30pm - 3:30pm **JUST ADDED**
  • Wednesday, March 24, 2021 - 10:00am - 12:00pm **JUST ADDED**

Each of these webinars will include an identical presentation. We are pleased to offer these options to fit into your schedule.

This webinar will focus specifically on the new Electronic Filing System - how to set-up your account, use the filer dashboard, enter transaction data, submit and amend reports, and provide other kinds of notices/documentation.

Pre-registration is REQUIRED for these webinars. Each webinar will be conducted using WebEx. Prior to the event, you will receive an email invitation from us to attend the webinar via WebEx. There is nothing that needs to be done when you receive the email; simply have it nearby at the webinar time. You will be able to click to join the meeting right from the email.

Please note that you will likely have to “run a temporary application” to join the WebEx. There is no need to install anything; running the application will allow you to access the Cisco interface and see the presentation we will be sharing.

The WebEx allows attendees three options for accessing the audio of the webinar - you can call into the webinar with the phone number given, you can have the webinar call you at a number you provide, or you can call in via your computer. Be aware that if your computer is not equipped with a microphone, you will only be able to listen to the webinar (and not be able to talk to us).

In addition to being able to interact over the conference call component of the webinar, there is also an on-screen chat feature where attendees can type questions.

Please note that these webinars will not offer any CPE/CLE credit.
