New Critical Directions in Gambling Studies: An International Conference for Early Career Scholars

This three-day conference and training event will address current evolving issues within the gambling field and the specific needs of early career researchers. The conference will take place from September 3 to September 5, 2019, at the Longueuil Campus of the Université de Sherbrooke.

The full conference is open exclusively to early career researchers (up to 10 years post PhD) with an interest in gambling research.

Two types of tickets are available for the conference:

OPTION 2 - Full Conference Registration + Optional Professional Development Workshop (Registration: $40)

Optional Professional Development Workshop (Registration: $40)

This workshop will include a discussion around key issues faced by early career researchers, and meaningful actions you can take to advance in your career.

Learning objectives:
After this session, participants will have a better understanding of professional challenges researchers face, their professional value in the workforce, their career options, and what to do to take the next steps in their careers. The interactive session is facilitated by Jennifer Polk, PhD, co-founder of Beyond the Professoriate (beyondprof.com).
