New Black Voices LA
Addressing health justice and health equity in the African-American
& African Diaspora Immigrant communities
Towards an Inclusive Agenda, A Community Conversation
Our communities have among the state's and country's highest levels of chronic health issues, including, among others, child and maternal death, diabetes, as well as hypertension. Supported by The California Endowment and California Wellness Foundation, New Black Voices is a wellness education initiative designed to promote awareness and shared social action to address the health challenges that disproportionally affect our state's diverse black communities, including African-Americans and other African-descent people.
With convenings in the Bay Area, San Diego, Los Angeles and Sacramento,
New Black Voices will inform a statewide black health agenda.
