Description

Welcome to our first ever New Balance Run Club Marathon Training run. We want you to be fully prepared for the 26.2 mile journey you are about to embark. Every mile is an accomplishment and no matter what you should be proud of yourself.

This run will be 18-20 miles long. We will have Pacers and/or Bikers to keep you safe on the roads. The run will start at our Upper East Side New Balance location and finish at the NB Flatiron store. Bag check will be available and taken to our final destination. We strongly recommend to pack lightly or just what you can carry on yourself. Specially if you chose no baggage for marathon day, practicing knowing what to do in this circumstance will help prepare you for race day.

Why at 7am on a Sunday?

We want to get you ready to be on time for your race and be mentally ready on a Sunday morning. Also it will be a little cooler earlier in the day and prevent anyone getting dehydrated. We want you to have a succesful long run were you feel you can reach that finish line.

Course:

We will have a finalize course map by end of August. We want to make sure about any road closure changes that will be on the course and affect the run. Our team will do a test run to make sure we are all set. We want to take you over the middle part of the race. The route we will run will be a reverse portion of the course from Queens into Brooklyn.

We will have 2 to 3 hydration stations along the course but if you have your water bottles or hydration belts please bring them with you if you need it. We recommend to be ready with any gels you use as well.

We will have some great NB swag for you that we will be raffling at the end of the run. Everyone who attends will receive a raffle ticket and also be eligible for a 20% discount for any last minute shopping for your marathon needs.

Paces:We will have a runner in the front and in the back of each group and a biker.
