6:30-7:30 PM Program
Jewelry and other craft work made of human hair flourished during the mid-nineteenth century as a way to memorialize the deceased. This unique art form was characteristic of the sentimentality of the Victorian era. Hear from Courtney Lane, Victorian hair artist, historian and “professional weirdo” and see authentic Victorian hair art at this social and fun event.
This program is the second part of our three-part Victorians Uncovered series featuring the off-beat and surprising interior lives of Victorians.
