Event description

Description

He's a little bit neuroscience; I'm a little bit relational psychology. He's all "neural connection;" I'm all "human connection." Can this professional relationship be saved? Where do these two worlds meet? We'll begin with an overview of what brain science has taught us about attention, understanding, and learning, then we'll describe ways in which the brain is wired to connect with others. From there, we'll consider, with you, how both kinds of connection are critical to effective teaching.

David Gow, Professor, Psychology
Anne Noonan, Associate Professor, Psychology & Faculty Fellow for Teaching Innovation
