Join us for our 2nd Annual Celebration!

Enjoy an afternoon networking with medical providers, doulas, lactation consultants, nurses, business owners and other breastfeeding community advocates. Come meet others who support breastfeeding in your community!

This year, we are honored to host a panel of experts addressing Barriers to Breastfeeding. Dr. Randy Ligh, Dr. David, Hoewisch and Jennifer Lewis, M.S., CCC-SLP will discuss their work and answer questions regarding how they help families overcome breastfeeding barriers.

Dr. Randy Q. Ligh, DDS, MA, FAAPD

Diplomate, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Randy Q. Ligh, DDS, MA, FAAPD is a pediatric dentist. For thirty four years, he has had the privilege of being in a field where he has the opportunity to make a positive impact on the oral health of infants and children. It is always his hope that the information and education he shares with his patients will lead them to a lifetime of great oral health. Dr. Ligh enjoys engaging with the community by sharing his professional skills to help improve their lives. He is a member of Parents Helping Parents. He works closely with international charities to serve underserved populations.

Jennifer Lewis, M.S., CCC-SLP

Jennifer received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Arizona. Since graduation she has worked in a variety of settings including private practices, home health programs, and hospitals. In every setting, she has evaluated and treated medically fragile children, completed tube feeding to oral feeding transitions, helped infants learn to breast and increased the diets of children with autism spectrum disorders. Part of her training is in collaborating with medical professionals to detect and resolved underlying causes of feeding and swallowing disorders. Additionally, she uses a whole body approach when assessing and treating feeding and swallowing disorders. She is a certified infant massage instructor and utilizes these skills to teach families massage techniques that improve parent-child attachment, muscle activation, and digestion. Currently Jennifer is the Feeding Team Leader at Joy and Laughter Developmental Therapy in San Jose where she enjoys helping children of all ages and their families learn to love mealtimes.
