When and how should a small business be treated as an asset to be divided in a divorce? How should you characterize the income the business generates? Do all small businesses require a valuation? These and other questions will be answered by a seasoned valuation professional.
David H. Goodman, MBA, CPA/ABV/CFF, CVA is an accountant with Gosule, Butkus & Jesson LLP in Boston, where he is the director of valuation and litigation support. David has been providing business valuations and litigation support for over 15 years for a wide range of clients. He regularly works with family law clients to assist in the analysis of business interests and tax implications of asset division and support options. David received his AB from Lehigh University cum laude and his MBA from Dartmouth College. He has recently completed the Massachusetts Collaborative Law training.
