Event description

Description

Join NE Tarrant Tea Party Citizen Advocates and learn how you can affect legislative outcomes in Austin this legislative session. We'll teach you about navigating the Capitol; what is citizen advocacy; basics of being a citizen advocate; how to talk to legislators; using the Capitol Kiosks; testifying at hearings; using the TLO website, and more! There will be several guest speakers, and a fellowship time from 9:30 to 9:45 with coffee and donuts.

This is a free event open to anyone wishing to lean about being a citizen advocate. It's a must for anyone participating in the NETTP Citizen Advocate program, and all others are welcome. But you MUST rsvp!

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead
