Nerve-Us Feelmore: For transmasculine folks who want to Feel More
Sat, May 6, 2017, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM PDT
Nerve-Us Feelmore: Nerve regeneration and scar tissue remediation skills for post-surgery (up and/or down) transmasculine folks who want to feel more.
Nerve-Us Feelmore is a one-day intensive, designed to support post-surgery trans masculine folks (post top and/or bottom surgery for at least 6 months) to learn practices of neuroplasticity, nerve regeneration and scar tissue remediation. Yes, it is possible to feel more! And there are science-based practices you can learn optimize your sensation.
Based on current research and best practices on neuroplasticity and nerve regrowth, you will learn how nerves can regenerate over time with deliberate touch and practice, and what you can do to increase your sensation in your chest and/or your genitals.
You will leave the workshop with knowledge and practices for home, to stimulate nerve regrowth and soften scar tissue.
This workshop requires that you bring a friend (doesn't have to be a transgender person, but fine if they are) who will be your practice partner. There is no additional cost for this person: you both attend for the cost of one tuition. Touch is included as part of this workshop, and you will determine your own level of participation.
Who is Nerve-Us Feelmore?
Nerve-Us Feelmore is a transmasculine person who wants to feel, but doesn't know how, post-surgery. He is sad, because even though he loves his body, he doesn't have the level of sensation he would like. Nerve-Us Feelmore decides to go in search of feeling, and his exploration takes him deep inside his own body! He meets special allies on this hero's journey; presence, patience and practice. There are enemies as well; resistance and doubt. But in the end, Nerve-Us Feelmore returns from his grand adventure with his treasure; he lives a joyful life of sensation and pleasure.
