6-7pm: Nerd Nite videos

7-9pm: Presentations

PRESENTATION #1: "Demystifying Polyamory" by Kristy Weick

Polyamory and other forms of consensual non-monogamy are making their way into the mainstream as viable relationship formats. What is it really, though? How do I do it and not mess everything up? What about jealousy? Is it all about sex, really? Find out the answers to these and more intriguing questions with this introduction to consensual non-monogamous relationships.

Kristen R. Weick, MA, LMHC, NCC, better known as Kristy, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in working with LGBTQ+ clients, people in non-monogamous relationships, and kinky people. She has had a private practice, My Path Unfolding, LLC, since 2015 and adores being part of the Orlando community.

PRESENTATION #2: "What Star Wars Taught Me About Diversity & Inclusion" by Jaylen Christie

Star Wars, an epic space opera that has existed for decades, has introduced us to a world of Jedi Knights, storm troopers, droids, aliens, and a beautiful array of colorful creatures. What can the franchise teach us about diversity and inclusion? Prepare to find out! This presentation will examine our differences, social norms and behaviors and will highlight the importance of embracing uniqueness.

Jaylen Christie is the Director of Public Relations at Moxē, an integrated marketing agency, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Orange County Library System. Recently appointed to the United Negro College Fund’s Leadership Council, he is a 2019 recipient of Black Enterprise Magazine’s Modern Man of Distinction accolade, and is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., the first African-American, intercollegiate Greek-lettered fraternity. He is a proponent for diversity and inclusion and is a BIG Star Wars fan.

[We'll be adding the details for the third talk soon. Stay tuned.]
