Neighborhoods and Development: Can We Co-exist?

This conference is open to suburban Northern NJ neighborhood associations, and those who advocate for neighborhoods. This is a free forum/conference.

Tentative topics on the agenda include:

1. Understanding Transit-oriented development (C. Santasieri, NJIT)

2. How to use the media to your advantage (A. Sandler, TapIntoSOMA)

3. Case Study: Save Montclair (L. Cranston)

4. Watsessing Conservancy (T. Gamble)

5. Historic issues, neighborhoods, development (R. Rockwell)

6. Case Study: South Orange: Academy Hgts - Working with developers. Residual effects of TOD (D. Kraiker)

This event is meant not only to offer food for thought, but to get neighborhood associations together to compare notes and strategies.
