Event description

Description

Stories are powerful! Support the community by making sure stories are recorded for the next generation! The stories we need are your family’s and your community’s! You are the most qualified person to make sure these stories are told and then recorded for the future!

In this workshop, participants will learn best practices for interviewing a family member or friend from oral historian Annie Valk from Williams College. The Neighborhood Voices project will collect 20+ interviews to be recorded, transcribed, and archived on the DSNI website and at the University of Massachusetts Boston Archives and Special Collections where the interviews will be available to community members, local schools, and researchers to learn more about the amazing and resilient people of the Dudley Street Neighborhood.
