Organizer NAB Manhattan 11 & NYC Department of Youth and Community Development

Organizer of Neighborhood Advisory Board Manhattan 11 Public Hearing

Neighborhood Advisory Boards (NABs) identify the needs of their local communities and help guide the City in distributing federal Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funding to support community-based human service programs.

Through NABs, residents can participate in community development in New York City. Low income neighborhoods, identified as needing community development, are called Neighborhood Development Areas (NDAs), and are represented by NABs consisting of residents who are appointed by the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) and elected officials.

YOU CAN HELP! To become a member of your local Neighborhood Advisory Board, or for additional information on DYCD, or for an application, call 646-343-6499, or email nab@dycd.nyc.gov, or go to: www.nyc.gov/dycd.

The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish.  DYCD strives to improve the quality of life of New Yorkers by collaborating with local organizations and investing in the talents and assets of our communities to help them develop, grow and thrive.
