The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease

An Alzheimer's Association education program especially for caregivers 

This program is helpful for people who think they may have a memory problem, who have recently been diagnosed, or who are providing care for a loved one with dementia. It gives insight into memory loss, addresses many common questions about dementia, and describes Alzheimer's disease. Strategies for successful caregiving are provided.

The Alzheimer’s Association of Rochester & the Finger Lakes includes Chemung, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne and Yates counties.


We serve individuals and families facing Alzheimer's disease and other diseases, including multi-infarct dementia, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, Creutzfeldt-Jacob disease, Lewy body dementia and Pick's disease.
