New England Historic Genealogical Society Research Trip

February 28 - March 6, 2016


Join Jane Lindsey, CGS Past President and former NEHGS Trustee, on our biennial research trip to Boston and the New England Historic Genealogical Society. Jane has visited NEHGS too many times to count and this is her 6th trip on behalf of CGS. Take advantage of her knowledge and join us for this signature trip!  



  • Hotel room - 7 nights at the Charlesmark Hotel, Boston
  • Daily continental breakfast each morning at the hotel
  • Two group dinners at local restaurants
  • Orientation and lectures at NEHGS
  • Optional Monday visit to a respository 
  • Optional pre-trip consultation & planning with trip leader, Jane Lindsey
  • Accommodations at the Charlesmark Hotel, 655 Boylston Street, Boston, MA
  • (Hotel is located across the street from the Boston Public Library and 2 blocks from NEHGS)


  • Room with double bed, $1,355.00.
  • Room with queen bed, $1,515.00.
  • Sorry, no two bedded rooms available.
  • Payment is due in full at the time of registration, no later than February 7, 2016.
  • Airfare not included.



Payment in full by credit card is due upon registration. Payments will be processed by Eventbrite.



  • A minimum of 10 participants are needed to confirm this trip.
  • This is a CGS members only trip. Non-members must join prior to registering. Visit our web site for additional information.
  • Airfare and airport transfers are not included in the price.
  • NEHGS has a daily user fee of $15.00 (which is not included in the trip cost) for non-members. If you are not a member, we suggest joining prior to the trip.


This trip requires a minimum of ten attendees. If ten registrations are not received by February 7, 2016, the trip will be cancelled and full refunds will be issued within 5-7 business days.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing and received before February 7, 2016 to have your payment returned. Cancellations after February 7, 2016 are not refundable. We suggest purchasing trip insurance if you feel that cancellation is a possibility.



The California Genealogical Society shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to property. Additionally, CGS will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury caused by strikes, weather, illness, or any other cause beyond it's reasonable control.

The society offers research services, online indexes and databases, and a research library housing over 38,000 reference materials from California, the United States, and around the world. CGS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. The library is conveniently located in Uptown Oakland, one block north of the Paramount Theatre, at 2201 Broadway, Suite LL2. We are three blocks from the 19th Street BART Station.
