Negotiating Your Way to Success a two-day learning expierence with Dr. Joshua N. Weiss on October 5 - 6, 2017.
Thursday - 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday - 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Believe it or not you are a negotiator. We all are. The problem is that most of us don't realize that the workplace, home front, and the broader world around us is filled with all kinds of negotiations. What do you do when you find yourself in those negotiations? Do you know how to be bold and assert for your needs, while also understanding the interconnected nature of the relationship with the other negotiators? Or are you intimidated by the process of negotiation and either avoid a situation or accommodate the other negotiator in a way that often feels frustrating? In this learning experience you will be challenged to rethink what you know about negotiation, you will understand why negotiation is a critical work and life skill, learn how you can approach negotiation from a cooperative perspective, and will be provided with some practical tools and tips to put you on a road to negotiation boldness.

One of the biggest challenges people face in negotiation is how to strategically approach the process and how to follow a sequential progression that will guide them through ebbs and flows.

Attendees will be introduced to negotiation methods they can apply to real workplace scenarios.

  • Understand the two primary models in negotiation and when to use each
  • Prepare to use the positional approach
  • Prepare to use the interest-based approach

This two-day interactive learning experience is 9.25 PDCs.
