Event description
Join us for the 52nd annual meeting of the New England Educational Research Organization (NEERO) at the NEERO 2021 Virtual Conference.

About this Event

Leveraging Educational Research for the Collective Good in Challenging Times

This year has been marked by the global pandemic that has affected health, public policy, employment, childcare, education, and many other aspects of our lives. In education, the pandemic has closed schools, shifted schooling remote environments, and exacerbated disparities in access, opportunity, and resources that support learning. Additionally, the recent killings of Black women, men, and trans people have once again reminded us of longstanding injustices facing people of color in the United States. These overlapping crises have raised to the fore systemic racism that permeates American schooling and society. Together, these crises have been met with frustration, hurt, and widespread calls for racial justice, solidarity, and equity.

In this context, we call on educational researchers, practitioners, activists, and policy makers, to rise up and leverage their expertise as part of the collective good during these challenging times.
