Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

Come join us at New England Graduate Women in Science and Engineering (NE GWiSE’s) Inaugural Retreat- a day of connecting graduate women from different universities and collaborating to help make NE GWiSE an organization that can effectively address the issues we face and create change within our community.

We will start off the day being inspired by our opening keynote speaker (Dr. Nina Dudnik, founder and CEO of Seeding Labs). Next, we will have introductions by partner GWISE groups and breakout sessions to discuss how NE GWiSE will function, including a session led by Professor Ayanna Thomas from Tufts. Finally, we’ll end the day with a scavenger hunt and BBQ social! This is a great opportunity to meet graduate women from different departments and universities, share best practices and recurring issues, and foster collaborations and friendships across the region. We hope to see you there!

Please note that as this is primarily a meeting to determine the structure of NE GWiSE, it is for women only. If you don’t identify as a woman but are interested in working with us, you can contact us at new.england.gwise@gmail.com to find out how to get involved in the future.

Registration extended through August 18th so sign up now!
