ND-ISAC will be hosting ND-ISAC Live! Fall 2019 on October 15-17, 2019 at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront.

ND-ISAC Live! will align our threat intelligence and security engineering communities by sharing concepts, configurations, and strategies for security infrastructures in presentations, discussions, and breakout sessions.

The upcoming ND-ISAC Live! Fall 2019 event is a three-day conference featuring sessions by and of interest to members of our ND-ISAC community. Several of our sessions will be combined, but many will allow attendees to pick relevant topics specific to their interests in Security Engineering and Cyber Threat Intelligence. The scope and nature of collaboration among attendees will allow each of you to gain tremendous insights from your peers with a direct return of value to your organizations.

All ND-ISAC members are welcome to attend, however, this ND-ISAC Live! Fall 2019 event is targeted at Security Engineers/Architects and Cyber Analysts active in threat intel and incident response.

Cyber Threat Intel

Presentations from fellow analysts will provide threat intel discussions and breakout sessions on cyber threat intelligence and current threats and trends. Dialogue among analysts will further develop the skills of analysts through collaboration among peers via the sharing of cyber threat best practices. Attendees will develop mentor and collaborative peer relationships to improve the level of play among analysts. Also planned is a return engagement of Lockheed Martin Cyberquest Competition, which is a Red/Blue team activity to sharpen Cyber offensive and defensive skills that are essential for analysts at all skill levels with challenges including:

  • Web-based attacks
  • Windows & Linux privilege escalation
  • Packet capture & log analysis
  • Steganography
  • Reverse engineering
  • Cryptography

Security Engineering

The Security Engineering sessions will delve deeply into key efforts underway by ND-ISAC working groups that are of interest to and that will inform security practices of our participants. Discussions will cross multiple topics ranging from DLP to DevSecOps and best practices associated with threat detection, response, and security solutions. Security Engineering and Architecture breakout sessions will allow SMEs across ND-ISAC working groups to publish concepts, configurations, and strategies. Registered attendees will also be expected to provide valuable perspectives and input.

ND-ISAC “Day Zero” Training

ND-ISAC Portal Overview

This training session will consist of a high level overview of the new ND-ISAC portal configuration and the revised features most commonly used by the ND-ISAC community. Topics covered will include multi-factor authentication, message boards, threat extraction, chat, document management, and other capabilities


This training session will consist of a demonstration of the API methods available to community members for the message boards and threat extraction capabilities in the portal. We will also review the API documentation and answer questions about how to get started, authenticating with JSON web tokens, API tools, and more.

The Lockheed Martin CYBERQUEST™ Competition

By popular demand the Lockheed Martin CYBERQUEST™ Competition will return to the Fall 2019 ND-ISAC Live Conference. CYBERQUEST is a cyber competition where teams of 1-5 work together to solve offense and defensive cyber challenges in a capture the flag format. The competition is also open to remote challengers not attending the Live event. Please sign up here:
