Event description
Join us to celebrate NCWIT's announcement of the Michigan Digital Skills Initiative

About this Event

The National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) is a non-profit community of more than 1,240 universities, companies, non-profits, and government organizations nationwide working to increase girls’ and women’s meaningful participation in computing. NCWIT equips change leaders with resources for taking action in recruiting, retaining, and advancing women from K–12 and higher education through industry and entrepreneurial careers.

On March 2nd, NCWIT will be announcing the Michigan Digital Skills Initiative, part of the larger Regional Digital Skills Initiative made possible by generous funds from the Cognizant U.S. Foundation. This multi-year initiative is designed to increase the number of technical women by offering opportunities such as AspireIT coding experiences, Aspirations in Computing community events, digital skills training for women interested in computing careers, and collaborating with local stakeholders on an innovative, community-driven model for sustained change.

Please join us at Microsoft in downtown Detroit to learn more about this exciting initiative. This event is sponsored by NCWIT and lunch will be provided. You may invite others by sharing this invitation. Space is limited.
