Description

The National Center for Learning Disabilities is hosting an Advocate Academy for the parents and advocates of children with learning and attention issues. This is a free, educational seminar hosted by ncld.org to connect, educate and empower parents to advocate for their children at school and in life. We hope, through providing a wide variety of education, sharing answers to FAQ's and best practices, to give every parent the knowledge and confidence to advocate for the needs of the 1 in 5 children with learning and attention issues.

Topics covered will be: Learning and Attention Issues 101, Advocating for Strength Based IEPs, Bullying and the Basics of Advocacy- both little "a" and big "A".
