Contemporary Adolescent Group Psychotherapy: Method Madness, and the Fun

Presenter: Andrew P. Pojman Ed.D., CGP, FAGPA

Group work with adolescents is challenging, stimulating, and overwhelming. This workshop will increase the participants' understanding of adolescent group psychotherapy. Opportunities will be provided to learn new interventions, better understand ethical issues, and gain insight into group group with this demanding and challenging population.

The goal of the workshop is to provide a safe place to learn about and explore the very challenging work of going adolescent group psychotherapy – an area of treatment fraught with chaos and uproar.

3 CE units will be offered for completion of this course. You must chose the option to purchase these credits upon registration.

About the presenter:

Dr Pojman is a licensed psychologist with over 30 years’ experience treating adolescents in school, inpatient, and private practice settings. He is the author of Adolescent Group Psychotherapy; Method, Madness, and the Basics – a curriculum manual published by the American Group Psychotherapy Association. He has also contributed chapters to a number of professional books on group therapy. Dr Pojman consults with therapists nationally and internationally on group.

CE information: NCGPS is approved by the California Psychological Association to provide continuing education for Psychologists, which also satisfies the requirements of the BBS as a provider of continuing education for LCSW’s, LMFT’s, LPCC’s, and LEP’s. NCGPS satisfies the CE requirements for the Nursing Board. NCGPS maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Full attendance is required to receive credit.
