Date: January 19- Garland Burton- Garland serves as Director of Diversity and Community Affairs for BE &K. He has a distinguished record in the development of strategic business relationships and in the implementation of programs designed to expand the inclusion of diverse populations in both public and private construction projects.
February 16- Jesse Tyson- Jesse J. Tyson, President & CEO (Ex officio member of the Board of Directors) of the National Black MBA Association. An Energy Industry Leader with leveraged global knowledge of regulatory and environmental issues Until 2011, Jesse Tyson led the Global Aviation business for ExxonMobil (EM) based in Brussels, Belgium, working across multiple industry groups in developing strategic solutions around customer segmentation, operational excellence and shareholder return requirements with clients in over 50 countries and 500 locations across the globe.
March 23- Michael Brown -Michael Brown serves as Chief Operating Officer for Hilton Grand Vacations. In this role, he oversees global sales operations, as well as financial and asset management for the company. Mr. Brown joined HGV in 2008 as Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing - Mainland USA & Europe, before being appointed to his current position in 2014. He is responsible for sales, asset operations, feasibility, and finance. Mr. Brown also leads key company initiatives, notably serving as the inaugural Executive Champion of the HGV Diversity & Inclusion Council.
March 27- Fred Whitfield- President, COO, Alternate Governor & Minority Owner Charlotte Hornets- A talented sports executive with experience as a player, coach, agent, sports marketer and basketball operations administrator, Fred Whitfield joined Hornets Sports & Entertainment (formerly Bobcats Sports & Entertainment) as President & Chief Operating Officer in July 2006. In this role, Whitfield oversees all business operations for the Charlotte Hornets and Time Warner Cable Arena, including the team’s name change from Charlotte Bobcats in the summer of 2014.
Charles Whitfield- Music industry executive, has served in many roles at Hidden Beach Recordings, CBS Radio and Beasley Broadcast Group. He co-founded Hidden Beach Recordings, an independent music label. He has managed retail sales, corporate outreach and artist relations for national recording artists such as Jill Scott, Brenda Russell, and Anthony Hamilton.
