NCCAF 2017 Presents:
Mark Powell + Jane Condon + Jill Weiner + Devon Franklin + Rob Ventura + Shane Rhyne
2/18/2017 8PM at Local 506 (Chapel Hill, NC)
Mark Powell is an observationalist comedian from New York City. Watch him range a variety of topics from Greyhound buses to why he is the best and worst at being unemployed.
Jane Condon: The New York Times says, “Condon had the audience cackling, guffawing and in hysterics as she sliced through marriage, husband, kids, politics and other topics.” She loves to tell stories about her adventures (mostly survival tales) with her husband and kids. And she thanks them for all their material.
Jill Weiner is a New York based comic. Her standup is dark yet playful. Through the use of characters, Jill illustrates her world view and often times hilarity ensues.
Devon Franklin: A young fresh standup comedian.
Rob Ventura is a local comic from Boston by way of California. He loves to hear himself talk and will regularly compose full sentences while on stage! Check him out on Instagram @robventurapetdetective.
Shane Rhyne believes the glass is only half-shattered. While he turns personal trauma into jokes for strangers, he enjoys exploring the bright side of dark thoughts and looking for the hidden logic in life's more absurd moments. He uses playful, clean, intelligent comedy to leave everyone feeling just a little bit better about how bad things might really be.
