We're traveling to the NC coast to bring you fresh seafood caught by local fishing families. With guest chefs James and Marcey Clark.

About this event

Spend the afternoon on our farm and we'll serve you a fine 5-course mid-day dinner prepared by guest chefs Marcey & James Clark, co-founders of Postal Fish Company. We'll start with a tasting of our award-winning goat cheeses. Then follow with fresh crab cakes with whole grain mustard sauce, lemonade pickled shrimp, micro greens, seared North Carolina fish with charred scallion ailoi, summer succotash, rice, housemade rolls amd Atlantic Beach pie. Review the menu below for details.

Seafood will be purchased directly from families who have a long history of fishing the North Carolina coast.

You are welcome to bring the wine or beer of your choice.

After dinner, we'll stroll down to the barn where you'll get a behind-the-scene tour of our dairy and the chance to meet our herd of Alpine goats, including our 30 adorable summer babies!

From there we will return to the inn's atrium for dessert and coffee.

Our inn is located on a historic property where community members often gathered beneath the large oak trees. Our goats are very friendly and love a scratch behind their ears!

The draft horses are also friendly and will likely wander over to say hello if you stop by the fence. On special occasions they do live demonstrations of plow-pulling at festivals and at historic sites. You can see them at the upcoming Old Fashioned Farmer's Day on September 3 & 4 at the Farm Heritage Park in Silk Hope, NC.
