Navy SEAL Challenge Tri-Event
Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 8:00 AM (EDT)
The Navy SEAL Challenge Tri-Event consists of three separate challenges developed to test your physical and mental tenacity: The Navy SEAL Beach Run, Obstacle Course, and Run/Swim/Run. Compete in one or push yourself to the limit and compete in all three. All race proceeds benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation. Come see if you have what it takes.
Have you ever wondered how far you can push yourself mentally and physically? Now you can find out at the Navy SEAL Challenge Tri-Event. This September participants will converge on the beautiful beaches of Seaside Heights, NJ for an event unlike any other. The Navy SEAL Challenge is composed of three challenges long familiar to the nation's most elite military force. You can register for just one or for all three.
5K Navy SEAL Beach Run - It wouldn't be a Navy SEAL 5K if it didn't take place on the beach. This is the only timed and scored challenge.
Run/Swim/Run - Test your running and ocean swimming skills. (*Please note you must know how to swim in open water for this challenge.) This challenge is not timed.
Obstacle Course - Participants will climb, crawl, jump, swing, and scale their way through challenging obstacles on the beach. This challenge is not timed.
5K Run/Walk on the Boardwalk - This challenge will be held on Sunday 9/30/12 at 8:00AM. This is a Hooyah event and is not timed.
5K Navy SEAL Beach Run Age Groups: (12-17) (18-29) (30-39) (40-49) (50-59) (60+)
5K Navy SEAL Beach Run - 9/29/12 8:00AM
Run/Swim/Run - 9/29/12 11:00AM (Conditions Permitting)
Obstacle Course - 9/29/12 This challenge will run throughout the day starting at 9:00AM.
What you get:
All participants will receive a race t-shirt and finisher award.
The top three men and women from each age group of the 5K Navy SEAL Beach Run will receive awards. (Please note the Run/Swim/Run, Obstacle Course, and Sunday boardwalk run are not timed or scored events.)
During registration you'll have the option to create or join a team. Camraderie is ever present within the Navy SEAL community, and as such, we encourage participants to form teams and recruit friends and family to compete with them. The purpose for creating a team is for camraderie only and does not have any impact on scoring or placing for the 5K Navy SEAL Beach Run.
