Event Information
Description
“I can’t see how arts and cultural organisations can afford not to attend this course. The information is invaluable!” (Course participant, June 2017)
This workshop is being hosted by MERL in Reading and is for South East Cultural Education Partnership Members. It aims to support arts and cultural organisations to develop and build partnerships with schools. Facilitated by Lorraine Cheshire, one of Artswork’s Education Development Managers’ and Chris Holmwood, Headteacher at Shenley Brook End School, the session will focus on recent changes and developments in the formal education sector.
The workshop offers strategies for gaining access to decision makers in schools, a refreshed awareness on the value of partnerships, key education language and a focus on Arts Council England’s Quality Principles. You will leave equipped to build on and develop your offering for both primary and secondary schools.
