Calling all clinicians, advocates, social service professionals, leadership, students, interns, and interns!

Join us on April 3rd, 2018 at 6:30pm to 8:00pm for this 1.5 hour workshop focused on the 1013/2013 process in Georgia. Each webinar will allot time for questions and answers.

Why is this workshop needed?

  • Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death nationally.
  • Individuals in crisis seek support from clinicians daily in hopes to connect to behavioral health services.
  • Clinicians should be competent on the 1013/2013 process to increase confidence as behavioral health professional in the state of Georgia.


  1. Educate clinicians on 1013/2013 process and key terms in Georgia.
  2. Identify three ways to obtain an 1013/2013 (transport order) for those at risk for imminent harm.
  3. Discuss the roadmap to treatment once a 1013/2013 has been signed.
  4. Identify and discuss common challenges of 1013/2013 process in the community versus facility and/or private practice.
  5. Provide an overview of local community resources and strategies of case coordination.

Presenter: Reinette Arnold, MSW, LCSW, MAC, FVIP


Reinette Arnold, MSW, LCSW, MAC, FVIP is a behavioral scientist licensed as a clinical social worker (Georgia) and master addiction counselor (nationally). Reinette has over 11 years of clinical, consulting, and program development experience. A graduate from Georgia State University with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Sociology, Reinette continued her education pursing a Masters of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Georgia with a concentration in Clinical Practice. Her passion and desire to improve opportunities for vulnerable populations while fighting social injustices drives her work nationally and internationally.

Reinette is owner and principle consultant of The Empowerment Agency, a behavioral health consulting firm called headquartered in Atlanta, GA. The Empowerment Agency provides services nationally and internationally to individuals and organizations seeking counseling, clinical consultation, technical assistance and capacity building and professional development services. Her previous work experience within suicide prevetion, domestic violence, faith-based communities, and public health allows her to address systemic issues from various lenses to identify effective solutions and partnerships.

As a consultant based in Atlanta, GA, Reinette provides services to clients locally and abroad on behavioral health including crisis intervention, suicide prevention, women and girls empowerment, and entrepreneurship. Affectionately referred to as "The Empowerment Specialist" by clients and colleagues, The Empowerment Agency provides solutions for today's problems to individuals, organizations, and communities.
