Event description

Description

On Friday March 23rd and Saturday March 24th 2018 the Socio-legal Studies Graduate Students Association (SLSTGSA) will host its fourth annual graduate student symposium entitled “Navigating Social-Legal Landscapes: Conversations in Interdisciplinary Research”. We invite graduate students working on topics related to Socio-Legal Studies to submit an abstract. We are also encouraging Law and Society undergraduate students and any others interested in learning more about Socio-Legal Studies to attend as audience members.

This symposium provides a forum for us to present and share our work in a welcoming, collegial and supportive environment. Participation in the symposium also provides opportunities to receive feedback on drafts and to work through theoretical, methodological and research based challenges with faculty and colleagues. Additionally, presenting offers an opportunity to develop presentation skills in preparation for upcoming conferences.
