Event Details

Flagstaff, like most Arizona communities, has historically struggled to find enough water to meet growing demand. In recent years the City has relieved the pressure by reducing per-person demand for potable water through conservation measures, increasing wastewater recycling, and investing in new water sources and infrastructure. The purchase of Red Gap Ranch more than a decade ago was intended to provide a new water source for future growth, but emerging wastewater technologies for indirect potable reuse (IPR) and direct potable reuse (DPR) suggest that another route to a sustainable water future may be coming into view. Big decisions lie ahead. We want to hear from you!

The forum will be hosted by Gary Woodard, Senior Water Policy & Economics Consultant, Montgomery and Associates. Presenters will include:

  • Brad Hill, Water Services Director, City of Flagstaff
  • Robert Vane, Member, Flagstaff Water Group
  • Matthew Payne, Principal, WestWater Research, LLC
  • Channah Rock, Associate Professor and Water Quality Specialist, University of Arizona
  • Erin Young, Water Resources Manager, City of Flagstaff
