Event description

Description

Have you ever thought about how the skin you're in informs who you are as a parent? Children are our greatest gift and responsibility. Preparing our children for a complex world that is culturally diverse and constantly evolving, requires intentionality, self-reflection and skills to talk about race and racism.

Come meet other parents, or gather a group of people you know who are interested in lifelong learning, striving for cultural humility and raising children with loving accountability to participate in this interactiive workshop, facilitated by Corrie Wallace and Sarah E. Dennis, Ph.D. Participants will explore their intersecting identities and learn about various tools, including children's books, to nurture racially literate children.

To register for either of the Fall Workshops (Fri Sept 28, 6-9pm; Oct 9, or Dec 4, 9am-12pm), select the date. Then we'll e-mail you regarding payment options (PayPal, ChaseQuick Pay, Check/Cash). (The registration says Free, but that's to save you from having to pay extra via Eventbrite.) Registration is $60. ($50 Early Bird if register by 9/23 for 9/28, by 10/1 for 10/9; by 11/25 for 12/4. Full-refund guaranteed if at least 10 people do not register per session.)
