Event description
We’ll demystify the difference between healthy and unhealthy conflict, and provide tools for navigating either kind.

About this event

In this workshop, we'll talk about conflict from the perspectives of influence psychology, and motivational psychology—two fields of study focused on: how do humans change their minds, how do they willingly change their behavior, and what makes that possible?

All levels and disciplines are welcome, from junior staff members to senior leadership. (Individual contributors, this is for you, too!)

The class size for this workshop is capped at 20 people.

Why attend?

In this workshop, Lara will lead you through a step-by-step process to the identify the right timing and tactics to resolving conflict in your workplace.

You'll walk away with:

  • easy methods to remember what steps to take in conflict and disagreements
  • tips to prepare for a conflict conversation when you can, and how to respond in real-time if you’re caught off guard by one
  • techniques to ensure your needs are met without trampling over those of others
  • extra resources for honing these skills after the workshop

Who's the instructor?

Lara Hogan is an author, public speaker, and coach for managers and leaders across the tech industry. As a founder of Wherewithall, Lara and her team run workshops, roundtables, and trainings on core management skills like delivering great feedback and setting clear expectations.

Before Wherewithall, Lara spent a decade growing emerging leaders as the VP of Engineering at Kickstarter and an Engineering Director at Etsy.
