Navigating Complex Challenges: An Introduction to Spiral Dynamics
Monday, October 21, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (CDT)
New Orleans, LA
Are you an education advocate or teacher working to motivate our youth to prepare themselves to take advantage of the internships, careers and job opportunities emerging in this city? Ever wonder why, despite your best efforts, you're finding this motivation task so very difficult?
Please join Delgado Community College Arts and Humanities and Facilitative Leadership Institute NOLA for an Introduction to Spiral Dynamics Integral (SDi) on Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Student Life Center Gymnasium on Delgado City Park Campus from 10:00 AM - Noon.
Dr. Don E. Beck, Ph.D. of the Spiral Dynamics Group will present a fresh, powerful approach to problem solving, social change and systemic transformation. This discussion will shed new light on how New Orleans can more effectively navigate the complex issues we currently face.
SDi is a unique bio-psycho-social systems view that:
- reveals WHY people choose their actions by presenting the beliefs and values that shape human nature,
- focuses on WHAT has shaped the culture of New Orleans, the current beliefs and life conditions that create our families and our diversity
- reveals HOW people think about things (as opposed to "what" they think),
- makes sense of human existence and shows how to craft elegant yet simple actions that meet people and address situations where they are
Don't miss the opportunity to meet with Dr. Beck, a world leader in large scale systems change. If you saw the movie INVICTUS that featured Nelson Mandela and the South African rugby team in the 1995 World Cup, you saw the impact of Dr. Beck's work.
